In the course of a civil suit, that is a result of an accident, you as the victim or the victim's representative, are trying to get the best settlement for injuries, loss of items or revenue as well as pain and suffering. But as we all know, the insurance company will want to pay based on the cold facts of the case. To get what you deserve the case must be about the victims, not a number or statistic. That is where we as Accident Investigators come in.
Our accident investigators would take the specific assignments from you, the the representative of the client. Our job is to obtain evidence needed to personalize your case. Make you case feel real and full of emotion from witnesses and victims so when you present your case to the opposing side they can know it will be costly to go to trial. All of our work for you is also covered under attorney client privilege for you to use as necessary in the case.
How do we do this? Our first step is to review any accident reports either from the police or from a business and Identify errors or issues. This could be failing to list witness information, locations of hazard equipment or lack of equipment. We then go to the scene and review what happened and take photos. This allows not only you but the opposing council to see what our client and their client were doing or seeing the day of the accident. The scene investigation is also helpful on occasion in identifying additional liable parties to add to the case. While at the scene we will also try to obtain video and additional witnesses that were not listed in the report. With a now more complete list of witnesses we are ready to go beyond making the case real and now make the case emotional.
Our investigators, which are trained Forensic Interviewers by The Criminal Defense Investigation Training Council, will interview each witness and then based on their interview will make a recorded statement.
Our investigators during their interviews as well as recorded statements will be to identify and gather information on any information that may hurt or help in the case. our investigators next priority is to have have witnesses and victims explain in detail what was seen, heard and felt by them during the accident.
With all of these parts our trained investigators can aid in making a strong case, identify potential issues, making sure you know the answer to every question asked by opposing council, and help maximizing the settlement.
We have began the process of adding drown photography and video options to our accident investigation process. This will allow photos of dangerous intersection and locations to best assist your case.
